Meet Tara

Tara is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has practiced since 2008. Her passion is working with individuals and couples seeking freedom, wholeness and restoration in their lives and relationships.

In the initial years of practice, she provided individual and group care and counsel in various clinical settings, including dual diagnosis intensive outpatient, acute inpatient, and community mental health.

While in those settings, God continued to grow in her a curiosity and desire to integrate clinical understanding with her faith. In 2013 she began integrating this understanding with individuals and couples in the church setting, first as Director of Care and Counsel at Providence Church, and since 2019 as Associate Pastor at Fellowship Church in the Biblical Life Counseling Center. She feels deeply honored to journey with those who desire to understand more of the human heart and God’s love and will to heal and restore, both internally and
relationally.

Tara lives in West Knoxville with her husband of 30 years and youngest daughter. She and her husband also have 2 adult sons and a daughter in law. In her free time, she enjoys meeting friends for coffee and trying new DIY projects.

Tara utilizes a Biblical Counseling Model, as well as, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, Narrative Therapy and Trauma Informed Care.
