Over the past 50 years, Kevin Huggins has served in a variety of strategic Christian leadership roles including youth pastor, pastor, professor, dean, chaplain, counselor, author, speaker, and consultant. Kevin, an ordained minister, holds the Masters of Divinity and Masters of Arts in Biblical Counseling degrees from Grace Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology and Family Counseling from Union University. He is also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s AAMFT Approved Post-Graduate Training Program in Couples and Family Therapy. Kevin brings extensive expertise in the areas of biblically integrated counseling, family relationships training, leadership coaching, and conflict management. He is the author of four books including Friendship Counseling (NavPress, 2003) and Parenting Adolescents (NavPress, 1989).
Kevin retired from his full-time pastoral and counseling responsibilities in 2021, but continues to provide leadership consulting, biblical counseling training, marriage and parent coaching workshops, biblical conflict resolution, and small group growth experiences for churches, counseling centers, schools, and ministries. At Wellspring, he serves as a biblical counseling advisor and trainer to the staff, as well as, one of the providers of Wellspring’s group and educational services to the community.
