No, our counselors do not accept insurance. Upon request, our counselors can give you a detailed receipt to seek out-of-network insurance reimbursement from your medical insurance company. Please be aware that a mental health diagnosis will need to be declared on your receipt for your insurance company to deem counseling services medically necessary and, therefore, eligible for reimbursement. Additionally, you would still be responsible to cover the payments of your counseling sessions upfront, and handle all future paperwork/correspondence between yourself and your insurance carrier.

We accept payment options such as credit cards, HSA cards, cash and checks. We have a required consent form for automated credit card payments, if you choose that option for your convenience. Please see our “Willow Springs Team” section to peruse our different counselor’s information and rates, as these vary based on years of experience, expertise, specialized training and length of counseling sessions.

The No Surprises Act

This act requires health care providers to provide clients with a “Good Faith Estimate” in instances when they may lack insurance or insurance is unable to be used for a service. This is a document which outlines the estimated costs for receiving counseling. This protects you as the consumer so that you can plan and be aware of the expected costs up front, and not experience any unexpected surprises. You will receive this Good Faith Estimate by your first appointment.

As part of our office policies, we do ask that you notify your counselor as soon as you are aware of a need to reschedule. Our schedule operates on appointment times, which means that time has been specifically reserved for you. Our office has a 24-hour cancellation policy, meaning if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, you will be charged the full fee for the session. We do understand that on rare occasions unexpected emergencies can occur and we will take these instances into consideration. Ultimately, we ask that clients keep track of their appointments carefully in order to avoid any additional fees.

In the event of a crisis, please call Mobile Crisis (865-539-2509) or present to your nearest emergency room. Willow Springs Counseling Center operates during weekday business hours and is not equipped with systems necessary to respond to emergencies.

“Are you tired? Worn out? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me–watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

- Jesus (Matt. 11:28-30)
